Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Beautiful, well-kept displays of diverse plants with rotating specialty themed exhibits! We spend about 1.5-2 hours on a visit here, you could spend more time if you marvel at each individual plant for a while. Some exhibits are permanent while others are rotating displays based on the current theme. We visited for the 2026 summer flower show of Alice and Wonderland, as well as the 2025 summer flower show (jungle/animal themed). This is basically a greenhouse- it gets warm and humid at times, so dress accordingly. There is free parking on Schenley Drive, but it can fill up so I would recommend arriving early in the day to secure parking and avoid some of the crowds.

My family and I took a trip to Pittsburgh. Specifically to visit Phipps during the Christmas celebration. It was breathtaking. The decorations, the lights and the plants were fantastic! It will go down as one of the best holiday places. Weโve visited together. The parking was a breeze. It was very organized with all the holiday visitors. The staff were also super friendly. I definitely recommend.

Wow wow wow I cannot recommend this place enough. Each of the 14 rooms is packed full of an incredibly diverse array of plants, so many of which I've never seen or heard of before. Beyond the entertainment that the majestic plants intrinsically offer, the design of each room creates an experience of exploration and discovery. So many brilliant interactive elements are packed in to make this a wonderful place for children and adults alike! Beyond plants, there are life fish, bugs, frogs, and more to enjoy as well. This place is truly unbelievably and a must see, and all for a pretty affordable price of just about $20 a person!

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens๏ฟผ A truly beautiful and unforgettable experience. If time had allowed, I could easily have spent two or even three full days exploring each section in detail. Unfortunately, because of a busy schedule, I was only able to spend about two to three hours thereโbut even that was enough to leave a lasting impression. The visit was informative, eye-opening, and deeply relaxing. For someone with a very busy and demanding life, it provided a wonderful change of atmosphere and a rare sense of peace and tranquility. Walking through the gardens helped soothe my mind and reduce stress. What touched me most was witnessing the extraordinary beauty and diversity of Godโs creation. The colors, forms, and fragrances of the plants and flowers were simply breathtaking. My sincere thanks to the organizers and staff for the tremendous effort involved in gathering and caring for such a remarkable collection of rare and beautiful botanical treasures. This is one of those special places that makes a trip to Pittsburgh truly worthwhile. Highly recommended. โญโญโญโญโญ
